FAQ.

  • I want to sign up, how can I do this?

    You can sign up through the website or you can physically come to Gympact and sign up at the reception! To sign up through the website, simply click on the “Sign Up” button in the top right of the website. There you can choose what type of membership you would like to purchase. If you have more questions and want to sign up together with a trainer, then feel free to physically come to Gympact to sign up. After registration you will receive a link with which you can activate your account. Once you have activated your account, you can download the Virtuagym Fitness app on your mobile and log in. Now you are in the Gympact environment where you can book your workouts.




  • I want to pause my membership, when is this possible?

    Pausing your membership is only possible in the case of injury or illness AND if this injury or illness means you can not train for over a month. A medical certificate from a doctor has to be presented to pause your membership. Memberships can be paused for a maximum of 3 months. 



  • I want to cancel my membership, how can I do this?

    Memberships can only be cancelled in writing, through an e-mail. Be aware that there is one full calendar month notice period. For example, If you submit your cancellation on January 15th, then February will be your last month. If cancellation is done through e-mail, please send your mail to info.amsterdam@gympact.nl for Gympact Amsterdam and info@gympact.nl for Gympact Volendam.

  • I want a personalised training program, can you help with that?

    Yes we can! With all of our memberships you have the opportunity to sit down with a trainer every 8 weeks to make a personalised training schedule for you. You immediately receive one credit for a training program sit-down upon signing up. In this 30 minute sit-down you will discuss your goals and how your schedule will be set up. You can plan this sit-down through the Virtuagym app. Sign in with your Gympact account, go to ‘Appointment Schedule’, scroll down to ‘Training Program’. Then just choose your preferred time and day! 


  • Personal Training, how does that work?

    Are you interested in Personal Training? You can choose to purchase 1x, 4x, 8x, or 12x personal training via the website. You can also drop by, email, or ask one of the trainers for an intake to discuss your situation and desires. These personal trainings are in combination with a valid membership. During these personal training sessions you will receive full attention for a whole hour! Would you first like to have an intake to discuss your situation and goals? Send us an email, ask a trainer, or just drop by.  

  • I’m pregnant, how does that affect training?

    Congratulations! We offer pre and postpartum workouts by trainers that are specialised in training women who are pregnant or have recently given birth. While creating a personalised training program, the trainer will take your personal situation into account and see what is needed for an optimal recovery.



  • I’ve got an injury, what now?

    Firstly, inform one of the trainers what injury you have obtained. The trainer can then see which muscle groups can potentially still be trained. We have trainers at Gympact with a background in physical therapy who are happy to help! If need be, you can pause your membership for up to 3 months, considering a doctor certificate can be presented. Pausing your membership can be done for full calendar months only. 


  • I’ve signed up, how do I find the app?

    As soon as you have signed up for a membership or loose lessons at Gympact, you will receive an email with a link. Pay attention! This email may end up in your spam box. Click on the link to activate your account. Set an email address and password. Once your account is activated, switch to your mobile to download the "Virtuagym Fitness" app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once the app is installed, you can log in with your email address and password. You go through a number of standard steps in the app and can enter some personal information. And the Gympact app is ready to use!


  • What makes Gympact different from other gyms?

    Gympact places a large importance on personal attention, building a community and making sure every member reaches their goals! We are not a chain, and we know all our members, as well as what their goals are and how we can help them. We organize fun special events, such as a DJ in the gym, dating in the gym, monthly challenges, and our annual Christmas workout. With any Gympact membership you will be given the opportunity to sit down with a trainer and make a personalised training schedule. You can then schedule a new appointment with your trainer every 8 weeks for a new training schedule, so that your body gets new challenges and you get one step closer to achieving your goal.
